The Gender Diverse Policy from the Nevada Department of Education is back on the agenda this Thursday, October 25 at 8:30 am. We believe the Legislative Commission have made up their minds on how they are going to vote.
Rather than ask parents to again take off work, get babysitters, and testify for hours regarding their concern for this policy, which violates student privacy and compels speech, we are asking parents take action by voting for Legislators who will listen to parental concerns and support parental rights.
Early voting is underway in Nevada, and we want to send Legislators a message that we intend to hold them accountable for their votes andwe are headed to the polls!
Please join us this Thursday, October 25th to make your voice heard by doing 3 things:
1) Come to the Grant Sawyer building (555 E. Washington Ave.) at 8:30am with a copy of your written testimony to be submitted into the record.
2) Sign in to the sheet provided.
3) Head to the nearest Early Voting location to VOTE!
As a group, we will check-in to the Legislative Commission meeting then head to the early voting location at North Las Vegas City Hall 2250 Las Vegas Blvd. N, a 5-minute drive up Las Vegas Blvd. Please bring your sample ballot and be ready to cast your VOTES! Make sure to bring your friends!
