Help Us Fill a Christmas Stocking for a Child In Need

We are collecting over 400 stockings!

For the 3rd year in a row Power2Parent is partnering with Hope For Prisoners to bring families joy this holiday season!

Our goal is to fill over 400 stockings for children of incarcerated parents, bringing hope and joy to families during this magical time of year.

We invite you to join us in this opportunity to give the gift of hope to these deserving families. Your support will make a significant difference in the life of a child this holiday season. Each stocking should be worth around $25.

There are two ways to give:

1) Scan the QR code or click this link. Choose a child and sign up to fill a stocking.

2) Click this link to donate any amount.

We will be collecting stockings on December 4, 5, 6 from 9am-3pm at the Power2Parent offices.

Dear Parent Union Member,

We are pleased to invite you to our upcoming Power2Parent Union meeting on November 28th at 6:30p. This will be an important gathering to discuss significant topics concerning our children's education and well-being in the Clark County School District (CCSD).

Meeting Agenda:

Understanding CCSD's Selection Process for Library Books: We will delve into how the CCSD selects books for school libraries and the criteria used in this process.
Challenging Book Selections: Guidance on how parents can challenge the inclusion of certain books in school libraries.
Review of the American Library Association's Top 13 Most Challenged Books in 2022: A discussion on this list and its implications for our children's reading materials.
Rating Books for Appropriateness: Exploring methods and criteria for rating books, ensuring they are suitable for our children.
Action Steps if Concerning Books are Found in School Libraries: Strategies and steps parents can take if they find books they deem inappropriate on their child's school shelves.

This meeting is a crucial platform for us to voice our concerns, share insights, and collaborate on ensuring our children have access to appropriate and enriching reading materials. Your participation and input are highly valued.
