Reminder: Your Team's Invitation to the Constitution Bowl!

Dear Friends,

We are excited to officially announce the launch of the Constitution Bowl, a new civic leadership competition designed specifically for 5th grade students. This engaging program challenges students to build foundational civic knowledge, practice teamwork, and develop an early understanding of the U.S. Constitution and our American system of government.

This spring, we are inviting elementary schools, homeschool groups, teachers, coaches, and community partners to participate, by forming teams, sponsoring students, or supporting the program.

🏛️ What Is the Constitution Bowl?

The Constitution Bowl is a team-based academic competition for 5th graders that blends:

  • Age-appropriate constitutional knowledge
  • Civic reasoning and discussion
  • Leadership, teamwork, and sportsmanship
  • Real-world problem-solving scenarios

The program launches in January, with the final competition on April 18th at Founders Classical Academy.

🚀 Kick-Off Event — February 19

All participating teams are invited to attend our official kick-off on February 19th @ 6:30p at TCMI Academy. This event will feature a hands-on leadership simulation experience in partnership with the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and a brief leader training.

Students will be placed in real-world leadership scenarios, challenged to make decisions under pressure, and guided through lessons drawn from presidential leadership and constitutional principles. This event will set the tone for the entire competition and is a highlight of the program.

👥 Team Registration

  • Teams are made up of 4-5 5th grade students
  • Teams may be formed by schools, teachers, coaches, or homeschool groups
  • Registration is $50 per team
  • Scholarships are available to ensure cost is never a barrier to participation

🏆 Prizes & Opportunities

  • Cash prizes for the top three teams
  • An expenses-paid overnight leadership retreat to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Malibu, California for the winning team
  • Recognition, certificates, and statewide visibility for participating students and schools

🤝 Sponsorship Opportunities

We are also seeking community sponsors to help underwrite teams, prizes, and leadership experiences. Sponsorship is a powerful way to invest directly in the next generation of civic leaders.

Because of You

Dear Friends, Donors, and Community Partners,

As we close out this year, our hearts are full of gratitude.

Because of you, Power2Parent has continued to stand in the gap for families, empowering parents, strengthening fathers, and opening doors of opportunity for children across our community. Your generosity, support, and belief in this mission have made a real and measurable difference.

This year reminded us of a simple truth we hold dear: when parents are empowered, kids are protected and communities are transformed.

Updates & Announcements

Fatherhood Project Milestones

This year marked a powerful moment for The Fatherhood Project with our first official class graduation in partnership with Hope for Prisoners. Watching fathers complete the program, committed to growth, accountability, and leadership in their families, was a reminder of why this work matters. We’re also thrilled to welcome Foster Kinship as a new community partner, expanding our reach to support families caring for vulnerable children.

Stocking Drive: Exceeding the Goal

Thanks to you, we didn’t just meet our goal, we surpassed it, filling over 500 stockings for children of incarcerated parents. Each stocking represented more than a gift; it was a message that these children are seen, valued, and remembered.

Education Freedom Expands

We were honored to receive the American Civics & History (ACH) Grant from the U.S. Department of Education, allowing us to grow our civic education efforts and invest in innovative programming for students.

This year also marked the first year of the EmpowerED Choice Scholarship, where we were able to scholarship 13 students—opening doors to educational opportunities their families otherwise could not access. Applications for Year 2 will open February 1st, and we’re excited to serve even more families in the coming year.

Upcoming Events

As we look ahead, we’re energized by what’s coming next:

  • Constitution Bowl Kickoff – Launching our inaugural year of this quiz-style civic competition, beginning with 5th grade and adding a grade level each year
  • 10-Year Anniversary Gala – March 27
  • Constitution Bowl Competition Day – April 17
  • Patriot Camp – June 8–12

Each of these milestones represents growth, sustainability, and our long-term commitment to parents and students in Nevada.

Year-End Giving: One Last Opportunity to Make an Impact

As we approach the end of the year, there is still time to make a meaningful difference. A year-end gift helps us:

  • Expand The Fatherhood Project to reach more dads
  • Grow the EmpowerED Choice Scholarship to serve additional students
  • Strengthen civic education through Patriot Camp and Constitution Bowl
  • Continue advocating for parental rights and education freedom

Your generosity fuels every program, every partnership, and every family we serve.

If you’re able, we invite you to make a year-end gift and help us step into the new year strong, prepared, and hopeful.

With Gratitude

From all of us at Power2Parent, thank you for believing in parents, standing up for kids, and walking alongside us this year. We truly could not do this work without you.

With deep gratitude,

Erin Phillips

Your Gift Today Changes Lives Forever

Today is #GivingTuesday!

Dear Friend,

Today is Giving Tuesday, and before I share anything else, I want you to know how grateful I am for you.

After our Fatherhood Project graduation last week, a dad pulled me aside, tears in his eyes. He said, “I didn’t know how to show up as a father. One of your teachers told me, ‘Start by listening to your son’s needs.’ I did… and now my son and I actually have a relationship. This class helped me become a better dad.”

I walked away from that moment reminded, again, of why we do what we do.

And why your partnership truly changes lives.

When you give to Power2Parent, you’re not just giving to an organization…

You are standing with parents. You are protecting kids. You are strengthening families.

And your Giving Tuesday gift helps fuel everything we do:

  • Parent Advocacy that defends families when they need it most

  • Spark of 1776 and Patriot Camp — teaching children our nation’s story

  • The Fatherhood Project helping dads rebuild trust and reunite with their children

  • The EmpowerED Choice Scholarship giving 13 students new hope this school year

Every one of these programs exists because people like you choose to love families in real, tangible ways.

Will you make your Giving Tuesday gift today and help us continue this work?

Your generosity today empowers parents, protects kids, and continues the legacy of strong families here in Nevada.

Thank you for believing in this mission.

Thank you for showing up when it matters.

And thank you, truly, for giving from the heart today.

With gratitude,

Erin
