This is Charlie Nicole De La Paz, a proud Nevadan, Republican, small business owner, parent, and longtime education advocate. As a mother of four current Clark County School District students, I'm tired of being told year after year that the solution to a better education is more money instead of more choices.
Parents were promised more school choice options and told that access to a better education for their children would be a priority. Instead they watched more money spent on the same broken system while Opportunity Scholarships expired and Education Savings Accounts went unfunded. No wonder Nevada has ranked in the bottom five states when it comes to education for over a decade.
That's why last week I officially announced my candidacy for Nevada State Assembly District 19, because like a lot you, I'm tired of waiting on someone else to follow through on those promises.
My promise to you is prioritize your family's future as much as my own. I believe we should work on fixing broken programs before funding them, and if you agree, I'd love to have your support.
