We are pleased to invite you to our upcoming Power2Parent Union meeting on November 28th at 6:30p. This will be an important gathering to discuss significant topics concerning our children's education and well-being in the Clark County School District (CCSD).

Meeting Agenda:

Understanding CCSD's Selection Process for Library Books: We will delve into how the CCSD selects books for school libraries and the criteria used in this process.
Challenging Book Selections: Guidance on how parents can challenge the inclusion of certain books in school libraries.
Review of the American Library Association's Top 13 Most Challenged Books in 2022: A discussion on this list and its implications for our children's reading materials.
Rating Books for Appropriateness: Exploring methods and criteria for rating books, ensuring they are suitable for our children.
Action Steps if Concerning Books are Found in School Libraries: Strategies and steps parents can take if they find books they deem inappropriate on their child's school shelves.
