AB3 creates a statewide grant program for K-12 schools to create “alternative intensive instruction” for some of the most disadvantaged students.
Parents want K-12 education funded, but without bipartisan support for educational choice, we will continue to do the same thing expecting different results.
If this crisis has taught us anything, it's that smaller districts, charter, and private schools were able to identify and serve their students' needs in a more efficient way than the larger districts, CCSD and WCSD. Now is the time to begin to ask our leaders to think differently about how we educate our kids.
NOW, not later.
Educational choice is a parental right. We look forward to the 2021 Nevada Legislative Session to continue to champion school choice legislation for our children. Until then, we have to keep fighting for whatever comes our way during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sincerely,
Erin Phillips
