Powerful Parents Unite Dear Powerful Parents, We are excited to announce that Power2Parent Union is merging with Battle Born Moms For Education. Battle Born Moms For Education is now Power2Parent's Northern Nevada Chapter.  Battle Born Moms has spent the last 18 months focused on protecting the rights of parents to raise and educate their children. Battle Born Moms and Power2Parent share the same mission of always putting children and families first. We know our collective voice is the best way to affect change in our communities. Combining resources expands our reach to empower even more parents in Nevada. If you have supported the mission of Battle Born Moms, we welcome you to the Power2Parent family. Together we will keep you informed on important issues that affect families and provide support to parents who advocate for their children. When you advocate for one child, you advocate for many. Dear Powerful Parents, Power2Parent is working to keep families informed on bills that will effect our ability to raise our children in alignment with our values and priorities. Our lawmakers work for families in this state and Power2Parent will be there to remind them that parents are the first decision makers for their children especially when it comes to education. We are looking forward to working with Governor Lombardo to help him deliver on his promise to be the "education governor" and his pledge to expand school choice. There is so much work to be done and our first job is to keep parents informed so our voices will be heard. Join us at the Nevada State Capitol in Carson City on February 13th at 11:30am for a press conference and remarks by Senators Heidi Gansert and Carrie Buck. During this event, we will raise awareness of the need for more school options for Nevada students.  The press conference will be followed by students visiting the Nevada State Capitol to help deliver Valentine’s cards that students have prepared to give out to legislators.
