Parents, we have achieved a small victory. But the fight has just begun.
We're not sure if you saw, but CCSD just released a plan to allow our kids to return to school safely, and for spring sports to proceed as planned. Check it out HERE if you haven't already. You've now seen first hand how powerful our voices are when we unite and come together, and we MUST keep the momentum going.
OPEN OUR SCHOOLS PROTEST
Parents, We HAVE TO continue to fight to get grades 6-12 back to school FULL TIME by this fall. The only way we can do that is by continuing to advocate on behalf of our students, and showing CCSD that we will not be silenced.
We are counting on all of you to join us at tomorrow's protest. We couldn't have gotten to this point without you, and it's time for us all to come together and show the school board just how much we care about our kids.
We will be joined at the protest by special guests Councilwoman Victoria Seaman, and State Sen. Scott Hammond!

Parents, this is our most important call to action to date.
The future of our children and our families is at stake. With the next CCSD board meeting being in-person, we are planning a massive, multi-organization based protest... and we NEED you to be there.
Trust me, we know you're busy and we hate bothering you. But, this very well might be our ONLY chance to confront our school board members face to face, and convince them to re-open schools.
Please parents, all we need is 1 hour of your time. We can't convey enough just how important this will be.
We only have one chance at this, If we don't turn out enough concerned parents and students, we will never get this opportunity again.
Even if you're not able to make it in person, you can still make your voice heard by signing up to testify remotely. Here's how:
In the Media:
"The Clark County School District reports at least 20 students have died by suicide since distance education started last March. That number has more than doubled from 2019."
"Many families who are still grieving the sudden losses of their loved ones spoke with 8 News Now Reporter Cristen Drummond about moving forward. They told her various factors contributed to their child’s untimely deaths, but they also singled in on one issue: Isolation during distance learning."

Parents, let's make sure we make our voices heard.
I know we are all SICK and TIRED of our kids not being able to receive an in-person education.
The tole this pandemic has taken on our children has been immeasurable, as a harrowing new report by 8 News Now found that 20 CCSD students alone have died from suicide since distance education began.Sports are being shutdown, the educational equity gap is being widened, and vital services are being denied.
Do you feel like you've just been brushed off by the CCSD big wigs who think they know what's best for your child? Don't worry, we do too. The difference is, this time we have a solution.
So what's our next move?
Parents, we are so close to making our voices heard. We NEED as many parents as possible to email Superintendent Jara today and DEMAND that he re-open schools before things get even worse than they already are.
The best part? All you have to do is click below, and type away. No need to worry, this is all anonymous.
We are holding a massive protest outside of the next CCSD School board meeting to demand that they re-open schools, and give our students the education they are entitled to.
We need you to be there, and we need you to invite your friends and family. WE can't afford to miss this, the well-being of our kids is on the line.
