Instagram, Volunteers and Info on School Board Meeting Today 3/24/22 Dear Parents and Community Members, Yesterday our Instagram account was deleted without warning or explanation. We are working to find out why, but in the meantime, please stay informed by following us on our other social media channels: FaceBook, Twitter, YouTube and email. Please share our posts and emails with your families, friends and neighbors. We are committed to keeping our community informed about school choice, ballot initiatives, updates on school districts, and ways you can protect your right to parent your children the way you see fit. We are looking for a few volunteers who would be willing to watch the school board meeting agendas for the school district in which you live. We also need one volunteer who can follow the agendas for the State Board of Education so we can keep parents informed about issues that affect all Nevada students. If you are interested in volunteering, please email us at info@power2parent.org. Tonight the regular school board meeting will be held at the Greer Education Center board room located at 2832 E. Flamingo Road at 5:00 p.m. Please see the agenda here and tune in to watch the meeting remotely here if you cannot attend in person. Power2Parent is teaming up with the Leadership Institute to host a School Board Municipal and Campaign Academy Dear Parents and Community Members, Power2Parent is excited to partner with the Leadership Institute (LI) on Friday, March 24th and Saturday, March 25th for a candidate and campaign workshop. Whether you are running for school board trustee or state office, LI offers decades of experience working with candidates and potential candidates on political campaigns. Robert Arnakis, Senior Director of Domestic and International Programs at LI, will host a two-day workshop for individuals committed to creating positive change within our communities. At this event, attendees will learn to build and execute a winning campaign.  It will cover: Message development and communications Campaign strategy and planning Fundraising And much more  This workshop is ideal for candidates running for any level of office, as well for those looking to lend a helping hand to a local campaign.
